László Fassang in Italy |
On September 30, 2007 at 9:00 pm, László Fassang will have a concert at the Basilica di Santa Maria di Campagna in Piacenza, Italy.
The Basilica di Santa Maria di Campagna, a Renaissance architecture jewel, was built between 1522 and 1528 based on the plans of Alessio Tramello. One of the main features of the interior, which is extremely rich in pictoral ornaments, paintings and decorations, is the polichrome wooden image of a miraculous “Madonna della Campagnola”.
In addition to baroque, classical and romantic pieces, László Fassang will also play some compositions by twentieth century and contemporary Hungarian composers, as well as one of his own pieces. The detailed program of the concert is as follows:

Haydn: Six pieces for musical clock (1792)
Liszt: Evocation à la Chapelle Sixtine

László Fassang and Katalin Szvorák at the Festival of the Five Churches in Győr |
Organist László Fassang and singer Katalin Szvorák will have a concert at the Lutheran Old Church in Győr on September 22, 2007 at 8:00 pm. The concert will be held as part of the Festival of the Five Churches.
The festival – held for the second time this year – is made possible by the relative proximity in Győr–Újváros of five churches of different denominations. These churches will host classical, folk, and klezmer concerts between September 20 and 24.
Singer Katalin Szvorák has received numerous folk music awards. She has worked with the following ensembles: Honvéd, Vízöntő, Bekecs, Kőfaragók; as well as the Etnofon Music Association and the Odessa Klezmer Band. She has had more than two thousand concerts in 31 countries of three continents in the past 15 years.

László Fassang in Japan |
László Fassang will have an organ recital on September 17, 2007 at 3:00 pm at the Muza Kawasaki Symphony Hall in Kawasaki, Japan.
“MUZA” is a word coined by combining „music” and the Japanese „za”, meaning a place where people gather together. The symphony hall, therefore, hopes to give a place for people from around the world to gather and communicate with one another using music as a common language. The hall, which is equipped with various lighting and electrical acoustic equipment, seats 1997 people and boasts a pipe organ built by Orgelbau Kuhn AG (Switzerland). The organ has four manuals, 5248 pipes and 71 stops.
László Fassang spent a year in Japan in 2000 as the resident organist of the Sapporo Concert Hall. The program of the Kawasaki recital is as follows:
